In this post, I’ll share some curated party decorations for three top theme trends for 2022 to help make your hostess duties a little easier.

This post is all about modern bridal shower ideas.

#1 Minimal Modern Bridal Shower Ideas

3 Modern Bridal Shower Ideas - Top Theme Trends for Throwing a Chic Shower or Sprinkle in 2022 - hostessology (1)
  1. Napkins | 2. Glassware | 3. Invitation | 4. Banner | 5. Favor | 6. Favor Tag | 7. Place Card | 8. Dessert Plate | 9. Cutlery | 10. Centerpiece Vase | 11. Centerpiece Botanicals | 12. Luncheon Plate

Minimalist does not have to equal boring. If you layer in texture, you can keep things interesting and yet still simple.

For this minimal bridal shower theme, I chose white and gold as the main color palette with accents of marble.

My favorite element of this look is the textured ceramic circle vase. As minimalist, modern bridal shower ideas go, this is THE piece to have.

I would add three stems of the dried eucalyptus (which, bonus – smells amazing!) to each circle vase. Best part is, when the party is over, you still have these pretty pieces. Keep one for yourself and send one home with the bride!

The invitation really sets the tone for this minimal bridal shower. Then the place settings play off of that bringing in white, gold, and marble.

When you’re using disposable place settings, try to incorporate pieces that look like they could be “real,” like the glassware and cutlery shown here. It will really elevate the look of your tablescape!

Last but not least, for the favor, I chose a pretty facial spray from Herbivore. I have personally used this product and LOVE it – it’s refreshing and not oily.

To present the favor, I would put each in a cellophane bag with the tag wrapped around the bottle with a leather ribbon. You could even add a little bit of the eucalyptus tied under the ribbon to really bring everything together!

#2 Boho Modern Bridal Shower Ideas

  1. Macrame backdrop | 2. Invitation | 3. Amber glassware | 4. Gold cutlery | 5. Dried floral centerpiece | 6. Welcome sign | 7. Luncheon plate | 8. Dessert plate | 9. Dried floral accent decor | 10. Photo banner | 11. Shower scrub favor | 12. Gauze napkins | 13. Favor tag

I could have gone on and on planning this theme. It was so. much. fun! I had to stop myself – so many other ideas. But here is a start for you if you’re looking for boho bridal shower theme inspiration!

In addition to the invitation, favor tag, and welcome sign, the Etsy shop has a lot more in this boho collection, including some game printables. You can easily knock out a lot of your party planning just by purchasing from this one shop.

For a boho party theme of any kind, macrame and dried florals are a must.

Yes, this floral bouquet is a bit spendy – but you can keep it for a long time after the event (or gift it to the bride!). Plus it comes arranged in the ceramic vase – a huge timesaver.

Aren’t you dying over these amber glasses!? I cannot. They are SO pretty – it’s hard to believe they are disposable!

And they pair perfectly with the bamboo plates. Add the gauze napkins tied in a knot (like I did here) – and your place settings are done!

I have these gauze napkins in a few colors. I will say they get pretty wrinkled when washed. So, be prepared to steam them. But they are gorgeous – as is the gauze tablerunner from the same shop.

As bridal shower favors go, anything you can say “from my shower to yours” on the gift tag is cute in my book. AND it’s appreciated by all. Who doesn’t love a new little luxury skin-care item like these little sugar scrub cubes?

#3 Eucalyptus Modern Bridal Shower Ideas

  1. Banner | 2. Plate | 3. Gold hoop backdrop | 4. Mimosa bar sign | 5. Invitation | 6. Napkin | 7. Flute | 8. Candle favor | 9. Gold hoop centerpieces | 10. Eucalyptus

The serene, understated color palette of a eucalyptus bridal shower is so nice. You can definitely use some of these decorations for other parties and events. In fact, I used a similar theme for my daughter’s confirmation dinner.

Gold hoop party decor is a trend that is still going strong. For this bridal shower, I would use #9 as centerpieces (or on a buffet) and #3 as a backdrop for the mimosa bar.

You can attach the eucalyptus stems to the gold hoops with florist wire. It’s a fairly easy and quick DIY party decoration that packs a big punch!

Speaking of mimosa bar, I love that the invitation has a coordinating mimosa bar sign. There are also a few other printables in this collection as well that you can check out.

For favor in this theme, a eucalyptus-scented candle seemed just right. There is also a diffuser version in the same scent that is also really pretty. To present these, I would tie a simple twine ribbon around the candle near the lid and attach a thank you tag.

Thanks for stopping by today to check out these modern bridal shower ideas. I hope you found some inspiration and resources to make your hostess duties a little easier – and to help you create a special, memorable day for the happy couple!

Please leave a comment if you try any of these themes – I’d love to know! Or if there are other themes you’d like me to do a post on, please let me know in the comments as well.

Cheers!
